Get The London Garden app
Put our website on your phone's Home Screen, like an app. It's free, takes up almost no space, and there's nothing to download from an app store.
You already have it. You're looking at the app now.
iPhone or iPad
- Open www.londongarden.org in Safari (the blue compass). Other browsers on iPhone may not show this option.
- Tap the Share button: the square with an arrow pointing up, at the bottom of the screen (on iPad, at the top).
- Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
- Tap Add in the top corner. The London Garden is now on your Home Screen.
Android
- Open www.londongarden.org in Chrome.
- Tap the three dots in the top right corner.
- Tap Add to Home screen, then Add. (Some phones say Install app instead.)
- The London Garden is now on your Home Screen.
If your phone says it's blocked
Some phones, especially Samsung ones, block Install app. You might see Google Play Protect: Unsafe app blocked, saying the app "was built for an older version of Android". That's about how the phone's own browser packs the website, not about the website itself. Tap OK, then do one of these:
- Use Add to Home screen instead (step 3 above). It puts the same icon on your Home Screen and opens the same website, without installing anything.
- Or open www.londongarden.org in Chrome and install it from there.
On a Samsung phone using the Samsung Internet browser: tap the menu button at the bottom right (three dots or three lines), then Add page to, then Home screen.
Is it safe?
Yes. It's our website, with a shortcut on your phone. It can't see anything else on your phone, and you can remove it like any other app.
